KUCHING: Mahkamah Sesyen di sini hari ini menjatuhkan hukuman penjara masing-masing 10 tahun terhadap tiga lelaki dan seorang wanita kerana melakukan rompakan berkumpulan, minggu lepas.

Hakim Musli Abdul Hamid menjatuhkan hukuman itu ke atas Mohd Ikmarruddin Adery, Mohd Farus Junaidi dan Nor Atiesya Mohamad Effindy, masing-masing berusia 30 tahun, serta Zaidi Majani, 37, selepas mereka mengaku merompak seorang lelaki berusia 23 tahun di sebuah hotel di Batu 3 di sini pada 9 malam 13 Nov lepas mengikut Seksyen 395 Kanun Keseksaan yang membawa hukuman penjara maksimum 20 tahun dan sebatan.

Mahkamah memerintahkan mereka menjalani hukuman penjara bermula dari tarikh mereka ditangkap, iaitu pada 14 Nov lepas manakala ketiga-tiga lelaki turut dikenakan lima sebatan.

Menurut fakta kes, mangsa yang berada di bilik hotel bersama seorang wanita dikenali sebagai ‘Bella’ telah didatangi dua lelaki dan seorang daripada mereka mendakwa dia adalah suami Bella.

Mangsa dimarahi dan diugut sebelum seorang daripada tertuduh mengambil kunci kereta, kad pengenalan serta telefon bimbit mangsa, dan mereka kemudian melarikan diri menggunakan kereta mangsa yang diparkir di hotel berkenaan.

Mangsa bertindak mengejar suspek menggunakan sebuah motosikal, dipercayai milik seorang tertuduh hingga ke sebuah pusat beli-belah di bandar raya ini namun gagal menjejaki mereka.

Pendakwaan dikendalikan Timbalan Pendakwa Raya Asmawi Nur Haqim Mokhtar manakala semua tertuduh tidak diwakili peguam.
