INTELLIGENT data infrastructure outfit NetApp is reporting strong regional momentum through its Partner Sphere programme with the number of partners certified to sell its AI solutions across Asia-Pacific (APAC) tripling over the past year.

Designed to accelerate partner growth and sharpen their competitive edge, the Partner Sphere programme now includes 16-solution competencies spanning AI (artificial intelligence), cloud transformation, cyber resilience and data infrastructure modernisation.

These competencies aim to help partners address complex enterprise transformation needs and capitalise on emerging digital opportunities in the region.

Additionally, NetApp has also refreshed its partner incentives and benefits to increase earning potential and support multiple selling motions.

On this note, the company provides resources such as Partner Demo Gear for proof-of-concept demonstrations, Services Certified tracks to expand services revenue and co-branding opportunities under the NetApp Services Certified badge to enhance market visibility.

“APAC (Asia-Pacific region) – including Malaysia – is a hotbed for innovation and to move fast, organisations here need the support of a robust and modernised infrastructure with built-in resilience that takes a unified approach to data storage,” enthused NetApp Asia-Pacific senior director (channel sales and alliances) Ganesan Arumugam.

“Our Partner Sphere programme enables our partners address this need and deliver reliable, scalable storage solutions to businesses in the region.”

Meanwhile, NetApp area vice president and general manager (ASEAN, Greater China and South Korea) Henry Kho expects Malaysia’s AI Nation 2030 agenda presents a shared opportunity for collaboration and growth.

“Malaysia’s AI Nation 2030 agenda is a shared opportunity to build a trusted regional hub for digital innovation grounded in data governance,” he acknowledged.

“Together with our partners here, we’re enabling Malaysian organisations to propel their AI ambitions with an intelligent data platform that integrates storage and security seamlessly.”

Added Kho: “By combining world-class technology with local expertise, we stand alongside Malaysia in its journey to become an AI-ready, data-driven nation where technology empowers the rakyat, strengthens industries and fulfils the promise of Malaysia’s AI Nation 2030 vision.”

Locally, NetApp works with technology partners such as CTC Global Sdn Bhd to deliver high-performance infrastructure across sectors such as manufacturing, where AI adoption is accelerating.

“From headquarters to production lines, AI is transforming every stage of the manufacturing cycle,” envisages CTC’s director (systems) Kevin Chong Sin Woo.

“By combining forces with NetApp and through its unparalleled partner programme, our teams are now better equipped to help manufacturing organisations in Malaysia build data storage solutions that can handle the most demanding workloads, unleashing productivity and profitability benefits.” – Nov 13, 2025
