IMAGINE how the so-called MC (medical certificate) by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim following a back ache over the weekend (Nov 2) has landed opposition-slant blogger Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris a.k.a. Papagomo in hot soup for the umpteenth time.
Now identifying himself as Sir Azri, the former UMNO Youth committee member (June 2018-August 2021) was arrested around 9.30pm in front of his home on Sunday (Nov 2) for having ‘hijacked’ the media statement by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to post malicious social media content on PMX’S health condition.
As prayers for a speedy recovery swamped the comment section of PMX’s Facebook page, Papagomo was hatching a plot to expound his long-standing unfounded narrative of PMX being an “AIDS @ HIV positive patient”.
“Medical team? Kah kah kah. Kantoi (exposed) again,” penned the Perikatan Nasional (PN) political activist in his initial FB post.
“It’s true there is a medical team for PMX all these while to prepare stoma bags, HIV medicine and his food. This is a HIV patient, guys. The outcome of main belakang (Malay slang for anal s*x).”
Papagomo’s subsequent post was even more dramatic if not hilarious given he claimed that PMX’s was never seeking treatment for his back ache in Germany but “undergoing Stem Cell HIV treatment” instead.
“You don’t have to believe what Sir (referring to himself) says but think for yourself to seek the answer that satisfies you,” he penned.
“To PMX, just resign from your position instead of continuing to trouble the rakyat and burden the country with having to bear the cost of medicine and treatment for HIV.
“And to Walanon cytros (Madani government cybertroopers): Stop fooling yourself and trying to fool the rakyat by playing the narrative that PMX is sick because of a spinal injury. The rakyat aren’t stupid.”
Never bored of getting arrested
While rational minds would have rejected or cast doubt on Papagomo’s incessant mocking of PMX as an “AIDS/HIV positive patient” on grounds that there is no evidential medical record to prove such claim, he has surprisingly found many believers among Madani haters.
Well, Papagomo’s latest arrest whereby he was once again hauled to the Dang Wangi district police headquarters (IPD) on Sunday night (Nov 2) – believed to be on charges under the Sedition Act 1948 – occurred exactly one week after he was arrested and released on Oct 26.
The arrest process which sources said entailed about a dozen police officers in three vehicles went smoothly with the cops receiving full cooperation from Papagomo with PN lawyer Rafique Rashid once again condemning the arrest as “restricting freedom of expression”.
For the record, Papagomo is no stranger to Sedition Act 1948 under which he has been arrested numerous times without any prosecution – to which lawyer Rafique who is also the Pejuang information chief described as an attempt to silence the 42-year-old activist and
Nevertheless, Papagomo is currently facing trial at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court for allegedly making seditious remarks involving the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
On Sept 24, the court has ordered him to enter his defence on the charge. Earlier on Sept 3, the same court acquitted him of another charge of making inflammatory statements accusing the government of being pro-Israel.
However, the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) announced that it would file an appeal against the acquittal. – Nov 4, 2025
