PETALING JAYA: The search for a missing couple concluded tragically today after their bodies were recovered following a boat capsizing incident off Tanjung Harapan.
The victims, identified as Gan Hon Tat, 32, and his wife Careen Man, 29, were found floating approximately 0.1 nautical miles from Northport in Port Klang, Harian Metro reported.
According to Selangor Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) official Syafiq Sazali, the bodies were located around 7.42am, about 200 meters apart. The couple had been missing since their boat overturned on Friday evening.
The incident previously claimed the lives of the couple’s three-year-old son, Darren, along with family friends Cheu Son Hin, 50, and Fong Yong Sen, 29, whose bodies were found inside the submerged vessel.
A 17-year-old, Chang Yan Qin, was the sole survivor of the accident.
