IPOH: Perak FC have denied rumours that they are interested in acquiring the services of Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) goalkeeper Muhammad Haziq Nadzli and defender Adam Nor Azlin on loan for the Malaysia League (M-League) campaign, which is expected to kick off next April.
“This is merely rumours. I cannot confirm it as we also do not want to act hastily because the (Malaysia) League will only begin in April next year. So, what I can say is that no talks are going on,” he said when contacted by Bernama today.
Yusri, however, is confident that new players will be brought in to strengthen the team, although everything will depend on the team’s budget.
In another development, the former national player wants his team to collect all three points when they take on Terengganu in their final Super League match at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium in Kuala Terengganu tonight and improve their position from 11th in the 14-team standings.
He hopes the team’s attack, led by Serbian Luka Milinovic, will be more clinical in their finishing.
“Although this is the final league match, I still want us to give it our everything and focus on getting a win.
“If we can beat Terengganu, we should climb one spot to 10th position, otherwise we will remain in 11th spot,” he said.–Bernama
