PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested a man in his 40s, suspected of slapping a teenage boy at the Pasar Seni LRT station after getting angry with the boy for picking his nose.
Dang Wangi police chief Sazalee Adam said the man was detained at about 3:40pm today in Jalan Masjid India in Kuala Lumpur.
“The suspect admitted to slapping the victim, claiming he acted out of anger, allegedly triggered by the boy picking his nose while they were waiting in line.”
Police also also seized clothing believed to have been worn during the incident. A remand order will be sought to detain the man.
Earlier this week a teenager sustained light facial injuries after he was slapped. The assault was captured on video, which has since gone viral. The victim, a 13-year-old boy, was lining up in front of a Rotiboy outlet at 1.30pm when the incident happened.
