Cops issue 32 summonses at illegal racing hotspot in JB

ISKANDAR PUTERI: Police have issued 32 summonses after inspecting 45 cars in an operation at a hotspot known for illegal racing and dangerous driving.

The operation was held at Lebuh Medini Utama here early this morning. Iskandar Puteri district police chief M Kumarasan said the location was identified as an area with a group of cars conducting dangerous activities such as illegal racing and dangerous driving.

“In the operation, 45 cars were inspected, involving 63 men and 14 women, aged 18 to 50,” he said. They were issued summonses for offences such as modifying the car, including the exhaust, using non-standard number plates and road traffic offences.
