MANAMA: The Bahrain Defence Force General Command announced that its air defence systems have continued to successfully intercept successive waves of Iranian aggression, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

Since the onset of hostilities, BDF forces have intercepted and destroyed 102 ballistic missiles and 171 unmanned aerial vehicles directed at Bahrain.

The BDF General Command commended the combat readiness and operational excellence demonstrated by its personnel throughout this period and affirmed that Bahrain’s airspace remains protected.

The public has been urged to remain indoors and to go out only when absolutely necessary, taking all necessary precautions.

They were also advised to stay away from affected areas and any suspicious objects, to refrain from filming military operations or debris sites, to avoid spreading unverified information, and to rely solely on official sources for updates and advisories.

The General Command also said that the targeting of civilian sites and private property using ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles constitutes a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the UN Charter.

These indiscriminate attacks represent a direct threat to regional peace and security, it said.
