PRAYER time is a time of reflection and peace as one communes with their creator. That said, a house of worship should be a safe space for its worshippers, young or old, woman or man.
Regardless, safety is not an aspect that can be fully guaranteed. No one could possibly look into the mind of another and find out if the latter is right in the head.
Take for example a recent video by netizen @update11111 which captured the harrowing experience of a lady who was sexually assaulted by a man while praying.
The horrific video showed the man spying on her from behind the cloth screen. When she knelt down to pray, he quickly straddled her and started fondling her bum.
He is definitely not a messenger from god, with that dirty, ugly cloth coiled around his face like a reticulated python. The lady began to struggle, and he started punching her in the face.

Fortunately, the prayer hall was at least equipped with CCTV cameras which captured the entire scene, even the assailants face when he removed the cloth as he ran away.
Netizen @ammsyaf in the comment section said the devil failed to incite the lady to be bad, so the father of the devil came instead.
Then there was @leocaprico3000 suggesting the perpetrator be hanged for his action.
Another netizen pointed out that people who do bad things in a house of Allah will not enjoy a peaceful afterlife.
Also, @taufanjawi said this actually happened in Indonesia although he offered no evidence to support his statement.
This was not the first time a sex-starved man decided to assault a member of the opposite gender during prayer time.
Take for example the viral video on social media showing a man allegedly sexually harassing a girl who was praying at Jamek Sungai Masin Mosque in Batang Kali in Feb this year.
We can only wonder why it was so much more appealing to be harassing a lady during prayer time and not some time and somewhere else. Or perhaps it is the work of the devil? —Nov 4, 2025
