PETALING JAYA: Pembakaran sengaja dipercayai punca kebakaran hutan kira-kira 6 hektar di Salak Tinggi, Sepang, semalam.

Ketua Pengarah Bomba, Nor Hisham Mohammad, berkata anggota serta jentera dari Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat (BBP) KLIA, Sepang, Dengkil serta Cyberjaya bergegas ke lokasi selepas menerima panggilan kecemasan pada 4.32 petang Jumaat.

“Kebakaran kawasan hutan di lereng bukit merebak ke keluasan kira-kira 6 ekar (2.43 hektar). Tiada mangsa dilaporkan.

“Komander operasi memaklumkan pada 11.30 malam, kebakaran tersebut merebak sehingga 15 ekar (6 hektar). Api marak disebabkan tiupan angin kencang,” katanya menurut Sinar Harian.

Beliau berkata, kebakaran itu dipadam sepenuhnya kira-kira 5 pagi tadi.

Menurutnya, siasatan awal mendapati punca kebakaran akibat pembakaran terbuka, justeru beliau mengingatkan orang ramai tidak berbuat demikian khususnya di kawasan belukar atau hutan.
