For a better perspective, news media Malay Mail reported that an estimated six acres of forest in the Taman Perdana Heights area caught fire at Jalan Pulau Angsa U10/2 at about 4pm.
“Upon arriving at the location 12 minutes later, the operations commander found that an area of 0.8 ha had been burnt and extinguishing work was immediately launched with help from the Kapar and Sungai Buloh fire stations,” said Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar.
“With a force of 18 officers and personnel, 80 per cent of the fire zone was extinguished at 6.05 pm and the latest finding at 6.30 am showed that the size of the gutted area was 2.4 hectares,” he was reportedly quoted by the Malay Mail. —Oct 31, 2025
