PETALING JAYA: Seorang remaja ditemukan lemas selepas dipercayai terjatuh dalam kolam takungan air sedalam lebih tiga meter di kawasan kebun kayu gaharu di Cheng, Melaka semalam.

Mangsa Gan Ping Hong, 18, yang bekerja sebagai penjaga kebun ditemukan dalam keadaan tidak sedarkan diri oleh penyelianya ketika mencari remaja terbabit kira-kira 12.45 tengah hari.

Ketua Polis Melaka Tengah, Christopher Patit, berkata siasatan mendapati mangsa sebelum itu dipercayai sedang menyiram tanaman sebelum tergelincir jatuh.

Menurutnya, saksi yang juga penyelia mangsa memaklumkan mangsa masuk bekerja pada 8.30 pagi dan tiba di kebun sekitar 9.04 pagi berdasarkan mesej WhatsApp yang dihantar.

Katanya, dia cuba menghubungi mangsa pada 11.30 pagi tetapi tidak berjawab sebelum mencarinya namun gagal menemui remaja itu.

“Penyelia berkenaan kemudian keluar dari kebun dan mengajak rakannya untuk membantu mencari pekerja terbabit.

“Mereka akhirnya ternampak tong air di tepi kolam sebelum menemui mangsa dalam keadaan tidak sedarkan diri dalam kolam berkenaan.

“Mangsa kemudian dibawa ke tebing sebelum mereka menghubungi ambulans dan polis bagi mendapatkan bantuan,” katanya, menurut Berita Harian.

Beliau berkata siasatan di lokasi oleh pasukan forensik IPK Melaka juga tidak menemui sebarang kesan kecederaan atau unsur jenayah pada tubuh mangsa.

“Barangan peribadi mangsa termasuk dompet, kad pengenalan dan telefon bimbit turut dijumpai bersama mayat.

“Mayat mangsa dibawa ke Jabatan Forensik Hospital Melaka untuk bedah siasat. Laporan bedah siasat mengesahkan punca kematian adalah akibat lemas di dalam air.

“Kes diklasifikasikan sebagai mati mengejut (SDR),” katanya.
