PGA Sarawak rampas barangan seludup RM1.6 juta, 9 individu ditahan

KUCHING: Pasukan Gerakan Am (PGA) Briged Sarawak berjaya merampas pelbagai barangan seludup bernilai RM1.6 juta dalam siri operasi Op Taring di beberapa daerah di negeri ini.

Operasi itu melibatkan kerjasama unit risikan dan infantri Batalion 10 dan 11 PGA, dengan sembilan individu berusia 24 hingga 62 tahun ditahan, termasuk seorang warga Indonesia.

Menurut Komander Briged Sarawak SAC Dr Che Ghazali Che Awang, serbuan pertama dilakukan pada 7 Julai di Bau, di mana seorang lelaki tempatan berusia 40 tahun ditahan kerana membawa 350 kotak makanan sejuk beku tanpa permit menggunakan sebuah lori.

Nilai rampasan dianggarkan RM209,600.

Pada 8 Julai di Sibu, dua lelaki ditahan selepas pemeriksaan sebuah premis dan kenderaan pacuan empat roda.

Rampasan termasuk 238 kilogram makanan sejuk beku, sebuah forklift dan sebuah kenderaan bernilai RM479,099.

Di Lundu pada 9 Julai, seorang lelaki tempatan berusia 34 tahun ditahan kerana membawa 230 liter diesel dan 10 tong jerigen menggunakan kenderaan 4WD.

Nilai rampasan mencecah RM81,155.50.

Operasi di Kota Samarahan pada hari yang sama membawa kepada penahanan dua lelaki tempatan berusia 26 dan 32 tahun.

Mereka didapati menyimpan 18,000 liter diesel, 17 tangki IBC dan sebuah lori tangki dengan anggaran rampasan RM218,840.

Pada 10 Julai, serbuan di sebuah premis di Kuching menemukan 4,500 liter diesel, 13 tangki IBC dan peralatan lain bernilai RM381,060.

Dua lelaki tempatan turut ditahan.

Serbuan terakhir di Bau pada 11 Julai menyaksikan penahanan seorang lelaki berusia 62 tahun kerana membawa 4,032 kotak ubat dan herba tanpa kelulusan KKM.

Nilai rampasan dianggarkan RM305,161. – Bernama
