KUALA LUMPUR: Inflasi Malaysia diunjurkan mencecah purata antara 2.0 hingga 3.5 peratus pada 2025, dengan mengambil kira langkah dasar domestik yang ditetapkan dalam Belanjawan 2025, menurut Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).

Gabenor BNM Datuk Seri Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour berkata pelaksanaan subsidi bersasar bagi bahan api RON95 dan perluasan skop Cukai Jualan dan Perkhidmatan (SST) turut diambil kira.

“Risiko kenaikan unjuran itu kekal bergantung kepada sejauh mana kesan daripada langkah dasar domestik seterusnya yang mempengaruhi harga secara lebih meluas.

“Risiko yang berlarutan daripada perkembangan luaran juga boleh meningkatkan harga komoditi global atau mengganggu keadaan bekalan global,” katanya semasa sidang media bagi mengumumkan prestasi Keluaran Dalam Negara Kasar (KDNK) Malaysia bagi suku ketiga 2024 di sini, pada Jumaat.

Beliau berkata dari sudut negatif, inflasi domestik yang lebih rendah boleh berlaku akibat pertumbuhan global yang lebih lembap berbanding jangkaan, yang boleh mempengaruhi harga komoditi global dan keadaan ekonomi domestik melalui permintaan luaran yang lemah.

Bagi suku ketiga 2024, inflasi keseluruhan dan inflasi teras kekal stabil pada 1.9 peratus.

“Walaupun ada beberapa item yang mengalami inflasi lebih tinggi, seperti diesel (20.1 peratus) dan insurans kenderaan (0.8 peratus) namun, ini telah diimbangi oleh penyederhanaan yang lebih menyeluruh bagi inflasi makanan dan minuman (1.6 peratus) sepanjang suku itu,” katanya.

Abdul Rasheed berkata inflasi asas yang stabil sepanjang suku itu menunjukkan kesan yang terhad kepada harga yang lebih luas susulan rasionalisasi subsidi diesel yang dilaksanakan pada Jun.
