Perak police chief to lead Bukit Aman’s traffic investigation dept

PETALING JAYA: Perak police chief Yusri Hassan Basri will become the new director of Bukit Aman’s traffic investigation and enforcement department on July 8.

Yusri, previously the Pahang deputy police chief, was promoted to head of the Perak police contingent in August 2022.

His current post will be filled by his deputy, Azizi Mat Aris.

Bukit Aman also announced a slew of promotions for several district police chiefs, with Dang Wangi head Noor Dellhan Yahaya to serve as principal assistant director in the D4 unit of the federal police’s criminal investigation department (CID).

The D4 unit handles the department’s intelligence, operations and criminal records.

Kajang police chief Zaid Hassan will be promoted to head the Selangor police’s management department, with Dang Wangi deputy police chief Naazron Abdul Yusof replacing him in his current role.

Kuala Selangor police chief Ramli Kasa meanwhile will be promoted as deputy chief of the Selangor police’s crime prevention and community safety department.

Kuala Muda deputy police chief Anuar Abdul Rahman @ Abd Rahim will become the new Seberang Perai Utara police chief.

In Sabah, Kota Marudu police chief Zairolnizal Ishak will take over as deputy chief of the Sabah contingent’s CID.
