PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission is investigating new leads into the Selangor government contract to a company co-founded by the husband of a Cabinet minister.
An MACC source said today that recent complaints and information received by the anti-graft agency had led to new leads being discovered, with investigations ongoing to determine the authenticity of this information.
“A holistic investigation is being held to look into issues of abuse of power and governance in terms of financial compliance in the process of the Selangor government appointing the company,” said the source.
MACC deputy chief commissioner Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya confirmed the matter when contacted, urging the public against speculating on the case.
