PETALING JAYA: Maybank said several of its services, including the MAE app, were temporarily unavailable.
Consumers would also not be able to make cash withdrawals with non-Maybank cards at its automated teller machines for the time being.
In a statement, the bank said the debit card transactions, instant transfers and its Maybank2u Biz app were also affected.
The bank however did not provide any reason for why some of its services were temporarily unavailable.
“We are working to resolve the matter as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
On social media, many customers complained about their inability to carry out transactions due to the service outage.
Last month, the bank experienced a disruption affecting its debit cards, online banking and ATM service.
The disruption temporarily prevented customers from making online payments as well as at retail outlets, prompting the central bank to demand an explanation.
