SPRM tahan dua pegawai kanan badan berkanun disyaki seleweng dana MOF RM1.2 bilion

KUALA LUMPUR: Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) Putrajaya menahan dua pegawai kanan sebuah syarikat badan berkanun kerana disyaki menyalahgunakan kuasa dan penyelewengan dana peruntukan pinjaman daripada Kementerian Kewangan (MOF) bagi projek pembangunan bernilai RM1.2 bilion.

Menurut sumber, kedua-dua suspek dipercayai menyalahgunakan dana peruntukan pinjaman daripada kerajaan dengan memindahkan sebahagian pinjaman wang yang diterima dari MOF kepada syarikat kontraktor dan perunding yang tidak berkaitan dalam kos pembangunan sepertimana yang dinyatakan dalam permohonan peruntukan pinjaman Kerajaan.

Beliau berkata kedua-dua individu berumur sekitar 50-an itu ditahan reman empat hari bermula hari ini.

“Penyelewengan peruntukan ini amatlah serius memandangkan peruntukan ini melibatkan dana daripada Kerajaan Malaysia,” katanya ketika dihubungi hari ini.

Sementara itu, Pengarah Kanan Bahagian Siasatan Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hashim ketika dihubungi mengesahkan penahanan reman terhadap dua individu itu dan memaklumkan kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 23 Akta SPRM 2009.
