PUTRAJAYA: Jumlah kes demam denggi menurun 6.8 peratus kepada 2,271 pada Minggu Epidemiologi ke-41 (ME41) iaitu bagi tempoh 8 hingga 14 Okt, berbanding 2,436 kes pada minggu sebelumnya.
Dalam kenyataan mengenai situasi demam denggi di Malaysia hari ini, Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan berkata tiada kematian akibat komplikasi demam denggi dilaporkan pada ME41.
Beliau berkata kumulatif kes demam denggi yang dilaporkan hingga ME41 meningkat sebanyak 102.6 peratus kepada 94,181 kes berbanding 46,495 kes bagi tempoh sama pada 2022.
“Sejumlah 67 kematian akibat komplikasi demam denggi telah dilaporkan berbanding 28 kematian bagi tempoh yang sama pada 2022,” katanya.
Dr Muhammad Radzi berkata bilangan lokaliti hotspot pada ME41 meningkat kepada 79 lokaliti berbanding 70 lokaliti pada minggu sebelumnya, dengan 57 lokaliti di Selangor, 11 lokaliti di Kuala Lumpur dan Putrajaya, lima di Perak, masing-masing dua lokaliti di Negeri Sembilan dan Sarawak serta satu lokaliti di Pahang dan Kelantan.
Mengenai survelan chikungunya,beliau berkata satu kes direkodkan pada ME41 menjadikan jumlah kumulatif kes chikungunya sehingga kini sebanyak 176 kes, manakala bagi survelan zika pula, 2,741 sampel darah serta 271 sampel urin dijalankan saringan dan hasilnya semua negatif.
