Kes denggi menurun 2.9%, tiga kematian dilaporkan

PUTRAJAYA: Jumlah kes demam denggi menurun 2.9 peratus kepada 2,310 kes pada Minggu Epidemiologi ke-38 (ME38) iaitu bagi tempoh 17 hingga 23 Sept berbanding 2,380 kes dilaporkan pada minggu sebelumnya.

Dalam kenyataan mengenai situasi demam di Malaysia hari ini, Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan berkata tiga kematian akibat komplikasi demam denggi dilaporkan pada ME38.

Beliau berkata kumulatif kes demam denggi yang dilaporkan sehingga ME38 meningkat 107.1 peratus kepada 87,175 kes berbanding 42,084 kes bagi tempoh sama pada 2022.

“Sejumlah 62 kematian akibat komplikasi demam denggi telah dilaporkan berbanding 24 kematian bagi tempoh yang sama pada 2022,” katanya.

Mengenai lokaliti hotspot denggi, Dr Muhammad Radzi berkata bilangan lokaliti hotspot pada ME38 menurun kepada 61 lokaliti berbanding 72 lokaliti hotspot pada minggu sebelumnya.

Lokaliti hotspot denggi yang dikenal pasti pada ME38 adalah 44 lokaliti di Selangor, 11 lokaliti di Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur dan Putrajaya, tiga di Kelantan dan masing-masing satu lokaliti di Pulau Pinang, Perak dan Sabah.

Beliau meminta orang ramai yang mempunyai gejala demam denggi untuk mendapatkan rawatan segera di fasiliti kesihatan terdekat kerana ia penting bagi mengelakkan pesakit mengalami komplikasi kegagalan organ, pendarahan renjatan atau kematian.

Bagi survelan chikungunya, Dr Muhammad Radzi berkata tiada kes direkodkan pada ME38 dan jumlah kumulatif kes chikungunya sehingga kini adalah 169 kes.

“Bagi survelan zika, sebanyak 2,457 sampel darah dan 226 sampel urin telah dijalankan saringan zika dan hasil kesemuanya adalah negatif,” katanya. -Bernama
